DHAKA, July 1 - About 450 workers here complained of pain after finding water in their workplace is contaminated, the second incident that hit garment factory in the next few days.
According to the local police chief, Badrula Nature, many workers complain of pain is made up of women and admitted to the hospital after they started vomiting and complaining of stomach pain after drinking water supplied by factories in the industrial city Ashulia.
"About 450 workers have been taken to different hospitals," Alam said, adding that most of the victims have been released from the hospital.
Alam said the factory owners have closed their plant operations while police sent water samples to a laboratory for testing.
